Two Production Tiers for a Bilingual SaaS Release Video
A small SaaS release does not always need a cinematic launch. Users first need to know what changed, where to find it and whether it is available to them. Build a complete screenshot-led announcement before deciding whether additional production is worthwhile.

This hypothetical release adds a saved-filter feature. Replace that example with a capability your product has actually shipped. Capture its real interface using your normal tools; do not generate a fictional dashboard to represent working software.
Tier 1: a complete essential announcement
Deliver two short versions, English and Chinese, using the same approved screenshots. Include the previous task, the new control and the visible result. Provide a link to the current help article or release note.
Illustrative English copy: “Save this filter combination, then choose it again from [actual menu name]. See the release notes for availability.”
Illustrative Chinese copy: “保存这组筛选条件,下次可从[实际菜单名称]再次选择。适用范围请查看更新说明。”
Budget for screenshot capture, two script reviews, layout, export and final checking. Record which interface version the screenshots show. This tier must communicate the update without voiceover or generated inserts; if it cannot, simplify the explanation before adding production.
Tier 2: optional additions with separate approval
Add English and Chinese narration if it helps explain the sequence. Popcraft provides voice tools, and Canvas can support assembling audio and visuals. Check menu-name pronunciation and give the reader time to inspect each screenshot.
An optional generated opening may supply an abstract mood or transition. Keep it visibly separate from the interface. It must not imply an unshipped automation, a nonexistent device integration or a customer result.
For each optional item, record its purpose, displayed generation estimate, planned attempt limit, review owner and fallback. The fallback for a decorative insert can simply be its removal. Use the live pricing details for credit and billing decisions rather than assigning a fictional fixed cost to the project.
Protect the review budget first. If production exceeds the agreed allowance, remove the decorative opening before cutting the bilingual accuracy check. If narration remains unclear, ship the complete essential version rather than rushing an expanded edit.
Before release, a product owner should reproduce the demonstrated action in the shipped product and confirm availability wording. Archive the screenshots, paired scripts and final links with the release identifier. A later interface change can then trigger a targeted replacement instead of another full launch project.
